Hans Christian Andersen’s Birthday is on April Second

Hans Christian Andersen was a famous Danish fairy tale write in the nineteenth Century. He wrote many fairy tales in his life and  today it was read by many adults and children.

On 2 April, 1805, Hans Christian Anderson was born in a poor family in Denmark. His father was a Shoemaker and his mother was a laundress. Andersen grew up suffering from poverty; he began working since an early age.At the age of 30, Andersen began to write fairy tales.His first book of fairy tales didn’t produced many favorable comments, but he never gave up. He wrote his autobiographical work Ugly Duckling in 1844, and The little match girl in 1846.

In Andersen’s writing career, he wrote a total of 168 of fair tales.His fairy tales have a unique artistic style: poetic beauty and comedic humor. A Northland student that had been to Andersen former residence said:” I could see through the house Andersen lived a poor life.”
