Shrek the Musical Review

This years fall musical was Shrek the musical! After anxiously waiting to find out what it was going to be, when everyone heard Northland was putting on a production of Shrek the musical, everyone went crazy! People were auditing for parts and so many people wanted to be apart of this project. Months and weeks of rehearsals and long night made sure these group of kids were prepared to hit the stage. With your lead roles of Fiona played by Kate Ferrel and Shrek played by Max Gay, the 2-16 Northland fall musical could not have gone any better.

This musical calls for very skilled  and talented singers and vocalists. All of the hours prepared each and every one apart of the cast to put on a great show. The songs in this musical were sung and preformed perfectly and beautifully. The deliverance of each performance was outstanding and there could not have been a better cast.

One of the main thing you need in a play, are sets. This year it took a lot of time and effort to finish and complete the sets for Shrek. But with the help of the right amount of people, these sets look amazing on stage!! The amount of effort that had been put into this production was clearly seen on opening night. Everyone was ecstatic to come see this wonderful musical. Students filled the bleachers watching their friends dance and sing on stage, and parents filled the chairs watching their kid do what they love.

Hopefully, next years musical is just as good as this one! But, I don’t know how this one could be topped. All thanks to Mrs. Jurick, Mrs. Lindsay and many more, Shrek the musical was a grad success.
