Trump and Hillary sure had a stressful night, as the two competed in the final race. Not so lucky for Hillary, Trump won with 276 electoral votes. So what does this mean for America?  According to The Guardian, “White men opted 63% for Trump and 31% for Clinton”, which doesn’t surprise many voters. However, what is shocking, is that most people didn’t see this coming.

People from both sides have shown to feel very strongly on the issue, especially because the polls predicted otherwise. For the most part, both parties concluded that Hillary would surely win the election. This has led many into shock, despite their personal opinions. Though voter turnout only increased by 4%, let’s hope this motivates more people to go vote their conscience and continue to become more politically involved.
