There were many rumors going around about different possible trades, but Demarcus Cousins to the Pelicans was not one of those. The kings traded Demarcus Cousins to the Pelicans for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans and a few other roll players. No one expected this trade and it is very controversial on if the Kings won this trade or that it was just a terrible trade for the kings.

Some see it as a good trade for the Kings as may be a “fresh start”, as Peyton Fennely said, especially considering that Buddy is a rookie and may be the next big thing. The teaming up of the two best big men in the league has the world going crazy, Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis are now being called the “twin towers” and everyone can see why.

“This is blasphemous”, said Zareion Daniels. Overall this is more then likely going to benefit both teams with the Pelicans it will allow them to build around their new front court duo. For the Kings, they get a fresh start and can restart with a young core. The Kings were not going anywhere with Demarcus Cousins and that was taking a lot of salary space therefore they won this trade tremendously.
