Importance of the American flag

Emma Sims

The American flag has red and white stripes which show the original 13 different colonies. The flag has 50 white stars which represent each of the 50 states of the Union. The 3 different colors represent 3 different things. Blue justice, Red hardness, white which is purity. With your right hand over your heart and any hats on you must recite:” I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” If the flag is every half raised that means a death could have occurred by a former president, vice president, Supreme court justice etc. The only people that can order for the flag to be half raised is the president or a state governor. In my opinion America is one of the best place to settle in. This country is peaceful and you have freedom. Other countries are fighting for this country, but lets keep fighting until they know that we will not give up on something beautiful.
