Every year Northland gives its students the chance to express and show their talents and gifts. Northland attends the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and the Texas Christian Schools Invitational Tournament (TCSIT). TAPPS is held in Waco, Texas and TCSIT is hosted in Abilene, Texas.

Students are chosen to compete in the certain events that these competitions have to offer. There are a variety of events including speech events and academic events. Speech events include girls and boys Bible reading, prose, poetry, HI, DI, group acting, Bible improv, debate events and more! Academic events include a variety of Science, Math etc. TCSIT has a bigger variety of events especially in Academic events. TAPPS has a smaller range of events like general math and general science.

Anyone in high school can qualify or audition to go to the TAPPS tournament and anyone in middle school through high school is allowed to go to TCSIT. This year the group of students going to both competitions are so talented and gifted. We expect an excellent outcome this year. These students can’t wait to show off what they have been working on for months! Wish them luck.
