Although North Korea is often known for its hostility,  it does have some delicate cuisine dishes which are different from the rest of the world. Many of these foods had been eaten for thousands of years by the people in North Korea, and they are the basic cuisine for those men and women from the day-to-day life. Many of them are just source of nutrients, but some of them have such a great taste that have been used as propaganda to raise national pride in that country.

The most commonly eaten food in North Korea is probably Naengmyeon. Naengmyeon are noodles made from buckwheat. They’re dark in color  and served in a brownish, cold broth and normally have egg cut in half, a few slices of meat, and Korean Kimchi sauce. People in Pyongyang love this noodle so much that the government in North Korea wrote a song to praise this food in order to raise the national moral!

Other dish – which doesn’t quite fit for a dish but NorthKorean people would eat it 24/7 – call Kimchi is also a popular thing to eat with rice in North Korea. Kimchi are spicy pickled cabbages that ferments a little as the preparing process includes. It is so tasty that it just won a united nation’s award to be the best Kimchi in the world. Usually the North Korea people just eat it will rice or it can be eaten together with other dish like steamed fishes.
