This is the time of the year where people are ready to escape from school. People either stay close to Houston and hang out with friends and family. Or they either go travel to a cold or tropical place. Because of the Coronavirus, it has caused Northland to cancel their spring break to Japan to keep the teachers and students safe whoa re going on the trip. Even though of the last-minute cancelation, there is a lot of things people can do in Houston.

Houston is famous for the rodeo. People come from all over to experience this, you can spend the day riding rides and eating amazing foods and finish the night singing along to your favorite singer. The second thing you can explore the city downtown. Downtown Houston is such a fun place to get friends together and go shop and eat good food. One of the last things you could do is go to the Houston Space Center if it is rainy on a day where it’s not good to go outside.

The weather is not going to be bad over the break, so get outside and run around. Ximena Reyna states, “I am not doing anything. It’s fun to stay because I won’t get coronavirus and because I get to hang out with my friends!!! I am soaking in every moment before college!!!” Brady Kraner states, “I am bummed about the tripping cancelled but I will probably go to the rodeo to see either Cody Johnson or Jon Pardi instead.”
