In this last week, we have been witnesses of one of the craziest and most controversial president elections in
US history. From Accusations of fake ballots, to insane comebacks thanks to mail-in ballots, this election proved to be something that took off several years of youthfulness from people that witnessed it. After a few days of all of this, the election seems to have finally come to an end, and Joe Biden is our new projected president.

The new president elect, after winning over several of the swing states, such as Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and Arizona, Biden was able to get over the minimum amount of electoral college votes (270) and secure the election. While Trump has repeatedly stated that he believes fraudulent voting and vote discarding have taken place, with the amount of voter turnout this year, Trump’s claims for fraud have been disproved.

What does this mean for the future of America? Well, we should expect to see more progressive laws and acts set in place for the next 4 years, mainly ones that focus on the environment and ones that focus on COVID control and treatment. We should also expect to see more taxation towards the wealthier portion of America, and more benefits and less taxation towards the lower income class of individuals. Hopefully through all of this, Biden will still be able to unite our country and lead us in the right path.
