The varsity volleyball team finishes their season out 6-2 and third in districts. Tuesday, November 3, the volleyball team traveled to Victoria, Texas to take on Saint Joseph Flyers to place in the state playoffs. The first game we won 25-14. “We played great as a team, and had lots of energy and played as one and thats how we won that first game”, says Emily Herman, a senior varsity volleyball player.

Sadly the last three games the lady cougars couldn’t pull out a win against the Flyers. Their season ended that night and it was a very sad two and a half hour ride back to Houston. “I wouldn’t have wanted to play this season with any other people,” says senior Jordan Herman. This team shared such a close relationship on and off the court. They developed long friendships that will last forever. I give huge props to the varsity volleyball team this year for working very hard and never giving up. We will get them next year!
