November 3, 1987 and American civil rights activist was born by the name of Colin Kaepernick. He would go on to play Six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL.

In 2011 Colin Kapernick was a second round draft pick and the next year would lead his team to the super bowl. Everything would soon go downhill from that point on. In 2016 a lot of social injustice was happening; it just wasn’t being talked about. So Colin Kaepernick decided to take action. So August twenty-six twenty sixteen while the national anthem was playing Colin Kaepernick decided to sit on the 49ers bench. After the game Interviewers asked him why he did this and he said “because this country oppressors black people and people of color”. August 27 Colin Kaepernick is in the headlines for sitting down during the national anthem some people like his actions and others hate him for it the NFL states itself that the players are encouraged to stand in the national anthem but not forced to. When this starts to get big in the headlines, people come to Colin Kaepernick’s aid and help him from all this criticism like former NFL player green bear Nate Boyer tells Colin Kaepernick rather than sitting down that he should Kneel. Colin Kaepernick took his advice and Neil and Stan before it before the chargers game and a lot of people bashed him for and others thought it was for a good cause at the end of the game he says that he’ll donate $1 million to organizations to support him and his cost to stand up for social justice and police brutality. On September 5, 2016 President Obama spoke out on Kaepernick’s behalf and said to everyone it’s his right matter, in fact his constitutional right to do that and no one can take that away from him. On 7 September 2016 the NFL commissioner spoke to him about what Kaepernick is doing and he says he doesn’t necessarily agree with what Kaepernick is doing but supports players who seek changes in society. Discontinued for about another month where you had players other players Kneel during the anthem for him and with him on September 12, 2016 Kaepernick didn’t play because he had a knee injury. We get a new president and Kaepernick responds to his slogan saying “ he always says make America great again. Well America has never been great for people of color. That’s something that needs to be addressed. Let’s make America great for the first time.” When Colin Kaepernick says this he only makes more people angry because now they’re not only saying he’s disrespecting our country but he’s disrespecting our president too. So on January 1 Kapernick plays his final NFL game and he’s kicked off the 49ers team.

Since being kicked out of the NFL Colin Kaepernick I started charity group called but no you’re rights camp This came teachers young black and colored people about their rights and Provided for families in need and they provided COVID-19 relief they’ve donut they’ve donated over $1.75 million dollars to those in need seven cities participate. Colin Kaepernick‘s now struggling at all he still remains a very good social activist and a good role model for young black teens and colored people. And for people who are laughing at kaepernick captaining for getting kicked out of the NFL he still makes a lot of money. I’m giving an example from Nike that gave him $61 million for an ad. This ad was no little funny and now this is a serious and it really open some peoples hearts talked about dreams and how someone can come from nothing and be someone or have a disability and still be a star it talks about what people think it’s crazy and I’ll be without you or you might have to sacrifice everything to get wood to get what you want but it’s all worth it in the end. My favorite thing Colin Kaepernick has ever said was a speech at Harvard he said “if we all believe in something we won’t have to sacrifice everything.” What this means is to me if everyone stands up for what’s right they can’t punish the whole world and eventually they’ll hear our message. like you can’t just suppress everyone forever if we come together we are stronger. The more people we have to stand for us the more louder and stronger our message will be.

In conclusion, Colin Kaepernick is a really great person and a great civil rights activist and just a great role model in general. What he has done for so many communities in need the NFL players even standing for him in kneeling as we speak today. It really shows The impact he had on the NFL in the whole world in general. I know I was really young when this happened but this really opened my eyes up to what had been going on in the world. And I have been hearing this on TV I really didn’t understand it back then ,but like now as I’m getting older I understand why he did this because this world is unjust to people of color and people still just go on like everything is fine and some people just only think about themselves and their own life and don’t put themselves in anyone else’s shoes.
