“The Claw” Wins Seconds Place at TCSIT

Ximena Reyna

Every year, Northland competes in a tournament called TCSIT. It’s held in Abilene, Texas and many private schools around Texas participate. One of the events they provide is the Newspaper category. Northland submitted our very own “The Claw” to be judged. The end result was that it actually won second place!

A group of about twelve students have worked really hard to make the newspaper something enjoyable to see and read through. Their hard work throughout the years has been repaid. But, none of it would have been possible without their amazing teacher, Mrs. Jurick, who is also the head of the theatre department. Her hard work to make Northland’s drama and fine arts departments strive is meant to be rewarded.

“The Claw” is something a lot of students and teachers are very proud of. Northland’s school newspaper will continue to strive and succeed through the next following school years.
