It (2017 Film)

“It” is a terrifying horror movie about Pennywise the dancing clown. Although clowns are meant to bring fun and happiness, this clown does exactly the opposite. The movie takes place in a small town in Derry, Maine. The town is believed to be cursed, due to all sorts of strange incidents happening over the centuries.  The death rate there is through the roof, especially when it comes to children. The children in town have recently been going missing. Since the police aren’t any help, a group of young kids started taking matters into their own hands. They call themselves the “losers club.” After all having encountered the clown they start to investigate him and the disappearances of the children even more. Overall, “It” was a fantastic, entertaining, and well-acted horror movie that broke numerous records at the box office. So far over 15 million tickets have already been sold! “It” provided plenty of jump scares and suspenseful moments that kept you on the edge of your seat. The effects were terrifyingly realistic on the big screen making the overall effect of the movie that much scarier. Despite some differences here and there, “It” was still relatively similar to the novel written by Stephen King in 1986. The movie still kept lots of the key points that the book had established. “It” is definitely a must see when it comes to horror movies. Absolutely 5/5 stars!
