The Salt is back! Let’s talk about stress!

The Salt is back! Let's talk about stress!

Sara Zollo, Writer

Let’s talk about stress, at school specifically. There are so many expectations and work to be done at school that it gets overwhelming. School would be so much relievable if stress and everything that comes with it would disappear. Sadly, that is not a reality. Even though school is very stressful with the amount of homework, teachers, people, or problems, at the end of the day, it’s gonna be ok. Maybe.

Common phrases students say when they’re stressed

  • “I can’t take it anymore!”
  • “I give up!”
  • “I’m gonna drop out of school”
  • “Why is this teacher giving us so much homework!?”
  • “Why is there college?”
  • “I’m too tired I can’t do my homework!”

As I said before, even though school is stressful, there are many ways of fixing this. According to The American Psychological Association getting enough sleep, exercise, consulting a friend, parent, or teacher, and find activities that make you happy can help you with being stressed.

Even though at the end of the day you might end up feeling like the Squidward gif, just know at least everyone in their lifetime gets stressed and it’s better to do an activity you’re stressed about with confidence because you’re going to end up doing it anyway. You might as well be relieved about it.
