Homecoming: A Disappointment

Marshall Ingram, Writer

Homecoming is something that high school students look forward to year-round. Unfortunately, somehow this was changed. I don’t know how you can mess up a high school dance, but they managed to do that somehow. When students are confused if they went to the right dance or not, then there is something wrong with that. I couldn’t tell if I was at an 80’s Jewish wedding or a homecoming dance.

Many students were disappointed in homecoming this year. One of Northland’s fellow students, Conner Rebhorn, had some comments on too. “As soon as I walked in the door, and saw the DJ from last year, I knew it was going to be bad. It met my expectations.” The DJ is one of the key parts of having a good time for homecoming. If there isn’t good music, how are you supposed to dance?

Much more students had comments on the dance. Almost everyone was disappointed in the outcome of the dance. Since homecoming is something students look forward to, they sometimes expect much more than what can be provided.
