Honest Movie Review

Sara Zollo

A couple of weeks ago, I went to see the Movie “Wonder” with my sisters.  I remember reading the book in the seventh grade for my English class, but I remember the book being ok (mainly because I was very behind in my reading and had to basically spark note the whole thing).

Though, I watched the preview and I was like, “Ok, this should be good.” For those who have not seen the movie, it stars Auggie Pullman, a boy born with a deformity, and takes us on a journey through his angsty early teen life (middle school). The movie surprised me with two well-known actors who play Auggie’s parents, which I liked . The overall movie was amazing and I definitely recommend the movie to anyone.

There were some ups and downs in the movie mainly because the story was about a boy who is deformed in the face , so you can imagine the discrimination the boy gets on a day to day basis, which really sucks. Though, the movie was not only about the main character Auggie. It showed other people who played key parts in his life and showed their perspective on things. It showed their struggles and the movie overall showed that everybody has struggles whether it’s dealing with a medical problem, parents divorced, no appreciation, ect. Overall I give this movie a 5/5 just because the movie is relatable and it gives people a perspective in life and the things that it throws at us.
