Sara’s Year in Review 2017
December 15, 2017
A quick view of Sara’s Year of 2017:
January-March:
Pretty good. Kinda low-key. I was a Junior and just going through the motions of school. Probably one of my highlights at school was going to the Junior/Senior Prom and the Film Festival. Outside of school I had fun hanging out with my family because we are all pretty close with each other. Honestly, this time was a blur, I don’t really remember anything big happening, except for me thinking that I’m going to be a senior next school year 😬
June-August:
This is where things turned downhill. So I was currently trying to finish up my drivers-ed hours so then I could take a test and hopefully get my license. But, a tragic event happened. Basically, every year my dad goes on business trips to awesome places for his job, and this year (along with my mom) they got to go to Alberta, Canada! Sadly, their trip only lasted for five minutes because my dad fell down the stairs and fractured his leg in three pieces. So, the trip ended and my mom and dad were constantly at the hospital 24/7 for the next couple of months. The reason why the process took so long was because my dad has polio (if you don’t know what polio is, basically in the 50s there was an outbreak of this disease and unfortunately my dad got it and that’s why is arm and leg are disproportioned). I felt really bad cause 1) my mom was looking toward the trip and she works so hard and ended up having to stay in the hospital and 2) because my dad had to deal with all of this stuff. Thankfully, he is better now 🙂 So since that happened I could not get my driver’s license because our family did not have any time, BUT! This time made an opportunity to move to a new house! 🙂 Also, I spent a lot of my summer either at home by myself, hanging out with my family, working out, or just doing whatever. Though, I enjoyed working out, because every summer I go to strength and conditioning and get fit. Which I like, because I don’t want to spend all summer sitting around doing Diddy squat.
September-November:
My highlight of these few months were Cross Country and the Musical!I enjoyed Cross Country because a lot of my friends were in the sport, and after meets we would eat out as a team, which I thought was really fun. The musical was also fun because of the practices and tech week. I met a lot of new friends and I had a lot of fun being a part of these activities! Also, my family and I moved to a new house which I thought was awesome! That is pretty much it that happened.
December:
This picture basically sums up this past month. Though, I am super excited about Christmas break. So only one semester left, and I graduate.
Of course there a lot of things that happened between this time/year, these are just a few of the things that I could think of at the top of my head (specifically that happened to me at school).
