Ximena, My Review On: 2017
December 15, 2017
And, that’s a wrap on 2017. Everyone had heard the phrase, time flies by when you’re having fun. But, have you heard this one? Time flies by when you’re life is a disaster. I bet you haven’t! This year for me was a year of self discovery, fun, loss and enlightenment. Although, there were probably more downs thorns than there was roses, 2017 was a wild ride.
January started off with a bang, the happiest I have ever felt was during the entire month of January moving into February. I have to say, the way the year started is nothing close to how it’s ending. School was out and things started to roam a little downhill. I have permanently excluded the month of May 2017 from my life. We do not speak of May 2017. If i could summarize the month of May for you it would go like this, think of all of the times you’ve been in the ocean, lots of water right? Now, imagine that water being my tears. Tragic, yet little did May 2017 Ximena know that December 2017 Ximena is laughing at her right now. The grass is always greener on the other side, in June my family and I moved into a new house. For two months I had a lot of time to myself to think. The school year started and things were great! Well, minus the actual school work stuff.
The highlight of my year was my sweet sixteen. On that day I really sat back and acknowledged how many loving friends and family I have. It was totes amazing. As the year comes to a close I’m realizing that I’m at my happiest right now in this moment. This happy is not my January happy, it’s not a depending on others happy. This is a, I’m happy with myself happy. And that my
friends, is the best happy. All in all, this year was a definite 8 out of 10, I was gonna say 6 but I added two points for my trip to Disney during Spring Break. Alright now, I’m over this for sure! Can 2018 hurry up?
