This week marks the start of the Softball Season.

Last year, there was unfortunately not enough people who joined the team for there to be a softball team. But this year, there are 12 players that joined the team this year. Yesterday was their first practice and it went pretty well. Every player on the team is willing to come in each afternoon and put in work and show progress everyday.

Coach D is excited for the season to come and that there will be an official varsity team. She is excited that there are many players, and players that have talent and are willing to work hard this season. As for playoffs, she says, “We have a very high chance for making for playoff’s this year, the only teams we have to compete against is Woodlands Christian and Faith West within our district.”

Seniors Melanie Talley and Miranda Simmons said, “We are pretty excited for the season coming up and glad that we have a full team this year!”

Be sure to come out and support their first game against Cornerstone Christian School at 4:30 at the NCS Softball field.
