In recent weeks, the Democratic party has pushed for President Trump to be impeached from the White House. Our country seems to be split between the Democratic and Republican party. There seems to be little middle ground between the two. It has been a growing debate between people even outside of office if the President should be impeached or not. The problem with saying that President Trump deserves to be impeached is that he has not done anything that qualifies as an impeachable offense. There are no qualifications of this offense which is why Donald Trump should not be impeached.

On September 24, 2019, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for a hearing for the impeachment of the President of the United States. They attempted to accuse him of forcing Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son. Pelosi stated, “Today I’m announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry.” (Business Insider) The issue with the democrats still trying to use this as dirt for Trump to be impeached is that they have zero actual evidence. They do not have anything that is blatant enough to even be used as evidence against Trump. They go off of accusations and speculations. The only thing is, in a situation like this you need facts, and unfortunately for the Democratic party, they don’t have that. Trump came out and stated, “There was no pressure whatsoever (on Ukraine)… The letter revealing the call was done at the assistance of myself and other people that read it. It was a friendly letter. There was no pressure. The way you had that built up, it was gonna be the call from hell. It turned out to be a nothing call.” The president told the media this in New York shortly after the hearing was called. You can walk away from that saying, ‘Well of course he’s not going to give himself up”. Although, even the President of Ukraine publicly stated that there was absolutely zero pressure put on him by the United States. The left also calls for Trump to be impeached because of the way they feel towards the leader of the US. They say he should be impeached because of his Twitter account, his character, or even the types of words or phrases he uses. I don’t have the Constitution memorized, but last time anybody checked, those are not even close to impeachable offenses! Just because you do not like somebody who is in office does not mean they automatically deserve removal from their position. Let’s just say that Donald Trump did deserve to be removed. Who do they think would take his position? It would be Mike Pence, the Vice President, who has the same ideas and values that left do not agree with! The Democratic Party needs to stop dividing our country and stop denying the fact that Donald Trump is our president.

In this short explanation of why President Trump should not be impeached, I have provided more facts than the Democratic Party has in their entire attempt to remove him. Unfortunately for them, someone cannot be impeached with an accusation without evidence. An impeachable offense is also not if a certain group is fond of them or not, or their Tweets. Maybe if the left were less worried about these things, then our country would be more unified, and they would see the good he is doing. In the end though, you need facts for something like this. Trump has done nothing deserving of this hearing, which is why President Donald Trump should not be impeached.
