On January 13-15 and 26-29 orchestra students who audition and are accepted will go to the TPSMEA All-Region and All-State concert and clinics. These events take place at St. Agnes Academy and Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts. TPSMEA stands for Texas Private School Music Educators Association and is a great opportunity to experience playing with students from other schools as well as improving their skills.

The orchestra teacher, Kelly Hearn says, “For students who audition and are accepted this is a great opportunity for them to play with other students and improve their skills.” A anonymous student who auditioned says, “I will be happy if I get in because I will be able to expand my skills and have a great experience.”

Those who are accepted will have a fantastic time with their fellow classmates, but the orchestra students aren’t the only ones who get to enjoy the TPSMEA. Choir students are also able to audition for the vocal section.
