Theatre Prepares for the Upcoming Spring Play: Comedy of Errors

Darin Bowden, Writer

Mrs Jurick, head of the theatre department, has recently announced the spring play, which will take place on April 20, 21, & 23! Since this is a play there will be no singing, it will only be acting. The play’s lead will be Madelyn Blossom, who was also the lead of the Fall Musical, The Addams Family.

The Comedy of Errors is about a set of twins who are separated in a shipwreck as children and many years later they arrive in the same town, only to be met with confusion.  The socialite of the town, Lady DoTell keeps rumors flying around on the towns local newspaper. The play will be set on the same set as the fall musical, but will be repainted to have the appearance look more victorian.

Kaytlynn Howard, who plays Professor Pinch, says, “I am super excited because I get to wear a cool dress and I love Shakespeare and it just so happens that this is a Shakespeare play.” Madelyn Blossom, who plays Lady DuTell, says, “I’m especially excited about the victorian costumes and that I basically get to be the “gossip girl” of this play!”
