Best Places to Visit in Houston

Houston is a giant place with sprawling suburbs and towers that shoot through the sky. However, someone who has lived here for a while may not find a lot of places that are interesting. So I made a list of some of the best parks, restaurants, and other places in Houston that are interesting to visit and see!

First are the concert venues. Downtown Houston is home to many small venues like White Oak Music Hall and 713 Music Hall but is also home to NRG Stadium which hosts all types of events from sports games to world tours by top artists. However, for some, indoor venues aren’t likable, so luckily Houston also has many outdoor venues. These include Miller Outdoor Theatre; The Hall & Garden, and they host many popular artists and comedians from all around the world.

One of the biggest cities in the world also has great architecture to look at. Historic buildings line many streets in Houston and some of the most prominent structures include the Houston City Hall and the Union Station. Sometimes people want a little peace and quiet so there are many places to see that have this. Many popular parks include Market Square Park and Hermann Park.

Many historic libraries are stationed in Houston and even is books are not a main interest the architecture and design in these buildings are very interesting. The most interesting are the W.I. Dykes Library and the Houston Public Library. Mirielle Canovas says, “My favorite library is the Barbara Bush Library because it is so close and it is really nice.” Last, but not least, are restaurants. Some of the best in Houston are Bludorn and Katz, however some of the smaller coffee shops and cafes are great to check out also.
