Baseball’s First Scrimage

Corbin Fontana, Writer/ Editor

Its finally that time of year again, Cougar baseball is starting back up this week with their first scrimmage against HCYA, a home school team out of Houston. This is  much anticipated game, as the team wants to see how they will be starting out the year.

Today the cougars plan to play a JV, and a varsity game against HCYA, and with many of the players still being in winter sports, the baseball team is a little tight in personnel. Playing the JV game with 9 players, the exact amount of players they need, were just paying that no one gets hurt. The varsity on the other hand is playing with 14 players so there is a little more breathing room. Mike Parmley, senior baseball player knows that “Home school teams can be very unpredictable, some very good, and some not so good, but we just have to go out there and play our game.”

The cougars expect to come out of this game with a good win, but were all rooting for them. So remember, support your Cougars and support the sports!
