This is coach Van Hook’s 4th year at Northland Christian, but he hasn’t always lived here in Houston. He grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma. Coach Van Hook went to college at Oklahoma State University and his family moved to Hallsville, Texas. He moved to Houston after he graduated from college in 2007 and starting teaching and coaching. He loves dogs, but he doesn’t have any pets because his backyard is tiny and he doesn’t think that’d be fair to the dog. During basketball season he doesn’t have a whole bunch of free time so he mainly just likes to spend time with his wife and little girl. Watching movies, and trying to stay in shape. Coach Van Hook enjoys to cook on occasion and loves to go hunting on the holidays if time will allow it.
