The scoop on homecoming week
October 10, 2017
As most of you know, Northland’s homecoming starts next week. Basically, Tuesday-Friday (No school on Monday!) students are able to dress up as different themes in honor of Homecoming. Other events of homecoming consist of mums, a football game, pep-rally, and maybe asking someone to the dance. Additionally, many students are upset this year because they said the homecoming dress up days aren’t as good compared to previous years. Though, I think it’s fun to dress up and not having to wear a uniform! Another topic that I have mentioned are homecoming mums (worn on Friday). Mums can be quite expensive! My sister had one when she was a senior and they can cost around a couple HUNDRED dollars! Even though they can be expensive, they are a fun addition to your homecoming “craze”. Last homecoming topic I want to cover is the football game and pep-rally. This is event puts the cherry on top for homecoming week (besides the dance). This Friday, the kick-start to the game will begin with a pep-rally, then the game against Logos Prep and a halftime show where all the cheerleaders perform their dances and drum line play their music.
