The Las Vegas shooting has been reported to be one of the biggest mass shootings in the history of the United States killing about 527 people. Unfortunately, in United States history there has been so many natural and non natural disasters that have killed thousands of people. Here is the low-down on the top natural/non-natural disasters that have caused the most fatalities in United States history.

First, the tropical cyclone in Galveston, Texas in the year 1900. This tropical cyclone killed at least 6,o0o to 12,000 people when it hit Galveston. This natural disaster is by far the one that has caused the most fatalities in United States history.

Second, the earthquake and fire that occurred in San Francisco, California that happened in the year 1906. This natural disaster killed about 3,000 to 6,000 people. The fire the earthquake caused burned for three days and destroyed nearly 500 city blocks.

Third, the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 in New York City, Arlington Country, Virginia and Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania. This by far was the most traumatizing disaster because it was non-natural and it led to the United States taking so many precautions to protect our country in years to come. This attack killed 2,996 people in total.

Lastly, in 1941 a military strike from Japan on the United states in Honolulu, Hawaii caused 2,467 fatalities. This of course is the least amount of fatalities but it is also 2,467 too many. Although, there are unfortunately more than this came from, these are the top ones that have resulted in the most casualties in United States history.

Every fatality is one too many. Unfortunately, as a country we have gone through so much for us to not grow bigger and stronger than before. Through every hardship we all should united and support one another.
