Family is a really important for everyone, and it is a group that we never can separate. Family is a place for you when you feel sad and longly, and it is always there.

  For me, my family and I are in different countries, and before I leave, I always feel it will be fine and I won’t be really sad or upset. But when I get on the plane, I even want to cry. And separation of my family and I alway hit me, and I miss them a lot. Also, during I am in America, I can talk to my mom, or we can have face time. If I meet something that is bad or sad, my mom always talks and encourages me, and her words can be powerful and warm. Although I leave my family really far, family still can comfort me and give me energy.

And I also have the other family — my host family. I live with Downey’s family. And they are like my real family to take care of me and try their best to give me a comfortable life. I love them, not only because they are nice and take care of me, but also because they give me a feeling of family. These days are Chinese new year, so Mrs Downey tries her best to learn how to say “happy new year” in Chinese. For all Chinese people, it is not just a good wish; it also let us think about our family, and give us warmth.

When some festivals happen in China, I always miss my family a lot. This Chinese new year is my first time doesn’t stay with my whole family. I never think new year is a really big thing, and in my opinion, it is just a festival for celebrating new year. Now, when I celebrate it by myself; I realize that it is a festival to celebrate all family members can get together to have a big dinner, and we can give best wishes to each. That is the point why it is important and has different traditional things to do.

Family is always behind you, and it is the warmest place for all of us.
