The Houston Astros have had another amazing season. The 2018 season has featured many wins, awards, and records broken. Coming off a World Series Championship, the expectations could not be any higher. The players, staff, and fans have been wishing for another championship ring all season long. key additions to the team have made for a very successful season. The Astros will start the 2018 playoffs against the Cleveland Indians this Friday. The team must do what it did last year in the playoffs to make another historical run.

Each MLB team plays 162 regular season games. The MLB season is a marathon. Some teams cannot even get on to a good start. Other teams start off strong, but then get tired throughout the race. The good teams have something special to where they can get hot at the right time to finish the marathon. The Houston Astros finished the regular season with a record of 103-59. There has been some cold streaks in the season, but over all the season has been incredible. The ‘Stros won their division, the  American League West, over the Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the Texas Rangers. It seems as if this has become a routine, being this is the second year in a row they have won the division. Fans are extremely happy about this as well. Many fans have grown to love the players like George Springer, Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, and any more. Senior at Northland Christian, Landon Murray, had some words on the teams season. “I think they have a really great team. Their chemistry is great; I think that they can go really far again this year, like they did last year.” He is not the only fan that is happy with the team this year. Melanie Talley is another fan that loves the Astros. “They’re doing so good. they broke the club record for the most wins… My favorite players are George Springer and Jake Marisnick.” The Astros have kept the fans happy so far. If they can keep them happy all playoffs they might have another championship.

The Astros are not just looking for another playoff run. They are looking for another World Series Championship. They want to be champs again. New players are looking to get their first ring with the team, and veteran players want to get another under their belt. If they keep the hot streak they have been on then they might achieve that goal once again.
