Forever 21 Getting Sued By Ariana Grande?
Thank you, next.
As every teen heard of the popular store, Forever 21, news has been released that Ariana Grande is suing Forever 21. According to New York Times, “The pop star Ariana Grande is suing Forever 21, claiming that the fashion retailer sought to trick customers into thinking Grande endorsed its brand by posting photos of her on its social media accounts and using a model who looked “strikingly similar” to her.”
Right after Ariana Grande released Thank You, Next album in February 2019. Forever 21 contacted Ariana Grande for an endorsement, which she declined because the retailer wasn’t willing to pay enough. Then on Instagram, Forever 21 posted pictures of a model similar to Ariana Grande copying her whole style and theme for 7 Rings. The caption stated, “Gee thanks, just bought it,” which is a lyric from 7 Rings. In the photo, the model wore a hairpiece with two puffs similar to Ariana Grande’s hairpiece from the music video. In the other photo, the same model wore pink camouflage pants with pink shoes, exactly similar to Ariana’s once again.
Many people have different opinions about the whole situation. The recent comments on videos regarding the situation are saying, “Is it just me, or does that model look nothing like Ariana?”
“So basically, she’s suing forever 21 for ears and an outfit… mkay 🗣”
“Ariana’s whole image is literally based around copying others, whether she’s sampling a song, or copying other peoples style. She needs to get off her high horse.”
And of course, the one and only, twitter is going off as well.
As one person wrote, “She is coming for coin.” Another quote states, “Should I tell her? Lol, they bankrupt sis.”
