Homeless Woman Singing on the Subway is Discovered

A homeless woman on the subway was discovered for her exceptional singing talent. The Russian-American woman was singing opera when an admiring police officer asked if he could tweet a video of her voice. Soon enough, the LA police department asked Emily Zamourka what they could do for her.

In one day, the video went viral. People began donating to her online and paying for singing gigs. Saturday, she sang at the grand opening of Historic Little Italy in the San Pedro area of Los Angeles.

After hearing the story, Maddie Pallanez says, “I think that’s so sweet. Good for her!” Passing on the story, Ximena Reyna says, “I’m happy she finally got to accomplish her dream.” It’s wonderful what one video on social media could do!
