The 2021 college football National championship was just a few days ago and Alabama won 52-24 for the 3rd time in the past six years, which is a crazy stat.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide re-claimed their place at the championship of college football behind a record-shattering first half from DeVonta Smith. This year’s Heisman Trophy winner was unstoppable over the first 30 minutes, he made 12 catches for 215 yards and three touchdowns. He led the Buckeyes 215-190 yards  in the half while setting seven school, conference and CFP records. Here’s the record Smith set Monday night, Single-season receiving yards record (SEC), Single season TD record (SEC), Single-game receptions record (CFP National Championship Game) , Most yards in a half (CFP) Career receptions record (Alabama), Single-game receiving touchdowns record (CFP National Championship Game),Multi-game receiving yards record (CFP, semifinal and final). These records are crazy numbers. Even with  a hand injury  which ended Smith’s night early,HE still was able to get 215 yards. Teammates Mac Jones and Najee Harris also rewrote record books. Jones set a CFP title game record with 464 passing yards and five passing touchdowns while breaking the FBS record for single-season completion percentage. Harris scored three total touchdowns to set Alabama’s single-season record and the SEC record with 30 scores for the season.Alabama star Jaylen Waddle also played a little bit in the game Monday night, after coming back from an season ending injury on October 24 against Tennessee. He got 3 resections for 34 yards against Ohio state in his first game in months. Waddle opened up Thursday about what went into that decision when he took questions  after declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft When Waddle heard he had a chance to play, he said he was set on suiting up. “To be honest, when they told me I was gonna have a chance to play, I already had it in my mind to play,” Waddle told reporters. “It was just great to get back out there with the team and just really do it one last time and go out the right way.”Few would have blamed Waddle for missing one more game to avoid injury risk. The play-making wide receiver, however, wasn’t worried.“Nah, I wasn’t worried about getting injured,” Waddle said. “I think if you worry about getting injured, that’s how you get injured. I wasn’t worried about that, I was just trying to win.” When asked about potential Pro Day or NFL Scouting Combine workouts, Waddle deferred saying that was a question for his doctors, but noted, “I know I’m ahead of schedule.” Says Saturdaydownsouth.com. This mindset is what helps Alabama be such a good team every year.

So the College football National championship was this past Monday on and Alabama beat Ohio Stae 52-24 which was a blowout and they are the champions.
