Not only has Northland welcomed a nurse, they have also welcomed a new assistant principal named Mr. Bemiller. Mr. Bemiller will be fulfilling the shoes of well known, Mrs. Diers. So far, Northland has brought a new security team to patrol around the campus. This brings me to have a hunch that he has more plans to change Northland for the better.
During an interview with Mr. Bemiller he said, “I was at Langhan Creek for 12 years as an English teacher and an assistant principal as the past 4 year. I was also news paper advisor, PACE (personal academic carrier exploration) teacher, team leader for English 3 and PACE, and an assistant speech and debate coach, and then an AP (assistant principal). We are always trying to find new ways to keep our students and staff safe. We look for ways that we can enchase our procedures, looking for safeguards to make sure everyone goes home safe everyday. We look over the student handbook every year and look for things to address in order to meet the needs of the campus. I’ve been trying my best to build positive relationships with our student and staff, getting to know people. I really care about the students and want to see us grow as well as to support the goals and standards here by doing my part to make this place what we want it to become. It is a totally different environment, it is a lot more close-nit type atmosphere here. Also the fact that God comes first here. My number 1 priority is the students.”
Well, Mr. Bemiller seems to have plans for northland. He seems to really want to improve the security sector. With him coming from a public school, he probally has ideas to affect the school in a very positive way. It is safe to say, he feels very welcomed to Northland.
