The city of Houston is rallying around the Houston Astros as they make a playoff run. The Astros beat the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS by a record of 3-2. The Astros are currently taking on the New York Yankees in the ALCS and are up 2-1. With game 4 being delayed to Thursday and game 5 on Friday, the Astros pitching got an extra day of rest by not playing on Wednesday. The Astros are currently rallying around great showings of Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole.

The Astros offense is currently being lead by Jose Altuve, who has 4 postseason home runs in this year’s playoffs. The Astros pitching is led by Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole, and the winner of this series will end up playing the Washington Nationals in the World Series. The Astros are trying to take a commanding 3-1 lead this series on Thursday. When asked about the Astros Postseason, Peyton Fennelly said, “The Astros are a great team who rally around each other’s energy, Gerrit Cole is a beast, Carlos Correa is clutch and the Yankees shouldn’t be able to hang with us.”

The energy that feeds off of the players is a good attribute that the Astros have because they need one another to thrive in the Playoffs. Game 4 is going to consist of a pitching battle between Masahiro Tanaka and Zach Greinke, a Game 1 rematch. The Astros are trying to take Game 4 and 5 which are in New York just like they did in Game 3. The City of Houston is rallying around the hometown team and look for them in the World Series.
