Black Friday is one of the top days of the year the Friday following Thanksgiving. Black Friday originated in Philadelphia because of the heavy traffic and pedestrians on that Friday before Thanksgiving. Black Friday happens all around the United States and it is very popular for everyone to get good deals.

Depending on the store that people shop at, they start lining up outside of the store waiting to go inside. There are about 41.1 million people who shop online for Black Friday. If people are not shopping online, people are shopping in the shops. There are about 6.4 million people who go out to the store and get a great deal but they are also fighting the traffic in stores and on the roads. Black Friday is one of the biggest times of the year even though most stores don’t like it.

Many people go out on Black Friday and shop for a good deal. Jackson Winder states, “I love Black Friday shopping. I bought seventeen items this year. I bought sweaters, shoes, Ipad cases and many more.” and Maddie P states, “I always go Black Friday shopping. I always go right when the mall opens on Friday morning.” After Black Friday there is Cyber Monday where there is shopping online and in-store just like Black Friday but it is less intense.
