    Victory At Northland

    Victory+At+Northland

Last week was an awesome week for the Northland Football Team. Last week, the NCS team came out victorious against the Trinity Christian Eagles. The score was a marvelous 32-0 that Friday night. Truly an excellent performance by the cougars.

A senior, Jake Eaton said, “It was a lot of fun, we flew around really well. We also played as a team. I’d say Riley Meekins was a big key in the game. I feel strong going into the new Braunfels game. I feel like a big cat ready to pounce of a small rodent.” Marshall Hughes also commented, “I feel it was a dominate game from the start. We came to practice, showed up, had a slow third quarter and just felt a northland football game.” Carson Clark also said “The game went well, our defense did a good job containing 7 and we had some good drives on offense. We completely shut down the pass and and only let a couple runs through. I feel great going into the next game, I think our secondary will do a good job and we should get a couple of picks this game. If our offense keeps it up, we will walk out with the win. Chase was a big key player with a good job on the D line, making pressure and just in general.”

This week, Northland will be facing the New Braunfels football team on 9/15/23. The NCS cougars will be traveling to to New Braunfels for this showdown. So far, the season has been going well for NCS. Yet, the big question remains: Can they keep this momentum?
