Manchester United finished 3rd in the 22/23 Premier League season, meaning they qualify for the Champions League. Manchester United were drawn into a group with German champions Bayern Munich, Fc Copenhagen, and Turkish Champions Galatasaray. But the main attraction of this group is Manchester United vs Bayern Munich in match day 1.

Bayern Munich go into this year’s Champions League strengthened, with the signing of Harry Kane for 100 million euros. Bayern Munich have one of the deepest and strongest squads in the whole world. The German Champions come into this game with good form, winning 3 of their last 4 games.

On the other hand, Manchester United come in to this game in bad form, losing 3 of their last 4 games. Manchester United have had many issues on and off the field  already this season. Manchester United have struggled with the injuries of  Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat, and the suspension of Antony.

NCS Student Morsi, who is also a Manchester United fan gave his prediction, he said the game is 3-0 to Bayern Munchen. Morsi also talks about Bayern’s Kane and Sane building a Deadly partnership, which will exploit United’s midfield liabilities of Eriksen and Casemiro. All in all, he does not have faith in the Red Devils for this Champions League game.

NCS student Carl Danso, who looks on this game from an outside point of view.

says Manchester United have struggled with injuries, and Dressing room disputes. He thinks Manchester United will struggle really bad this season.

All in all, the Red Devils seem to be struggling this season, will this game be a wake up call to manager Erik Ten-Hag, or an awakening game for Manchester United.
