On January 18th, Northland Christian played their first district game of the season at Allen Academy. Northland came into this game expecting to win as they beat Allen 1-0 the year before. The boys went up 1-0 in the first 20 seconds with a goal by Henry Nguyen. They had come out of the first half winning 4-0.
The second half started and the coach had made some changes, so that NCS could put the game away. The changes worked, as they scored 5 goals in less than 8 minutes. The coach decided to put some less experienced players on the field to ride the game out. They took their chance and added another goal later on in the game to make it 10.
The boys finished off with some great stats. 3 goals for Henry Nguyen, 2 goals for Isaac Banos, 2 goals for Gerson Pineda, and 3 assists for Grant Rodges.
