Do you have a job?

Getting a job is very important while you’re in high school. You don’t want to just be getting to college and wanting a job but have no skill whatsoever. Getting a job will benefit you in the long run if you start early.

Junior Michael Chase has had two jobs since his sophomore year. One at Bullritos and currently The Popcorn Bar. He’s had the struggle of balancing out his school work and sports. Chase says, “Having a job is great but when I want to hang out with friends or have a practice, I feel obligated to go to work. I don’t want to miss out on that stuff.” Chase also explains it’s not easy but it’s worth it.348s

“I just volunteer at my churches bookstore every Sunday. That’s basically all I do, I’m the cashier in the store.” Junior Abby Williams explains to me that it’s an easy job because she doesn’t have to miss out on anything. She loves getting paid and serving the Lord all at one time. Get a job, kids. Money doesn’t grow on trees.
