Houston Snowing?

Marshall Ingram, Writer

It has snowed in Houston for the first time in 8 years. Everyone was caught by surprise. Houston usually gets ice at the most, but snow, that is surprising. When I look around it looks like we are in Colorado or something. Maybe not that much, but it still looks cool.

When I woke up this morning I looked out my window and saw my roof covered with snow. I walked outside and saw the ground and trees with white covering them. Fellow Student Ansel said, “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is fun and I get to get out of class.”It looked like I was in another place. In 2009 Houston just got a little snow. It was like snow flurries, but that’s all. It’s really cool to see something that you don’t get to see often. I’ve only seen snow a handful of times in my life. It has only been when I go skiing.

When you see something that you have never seen or only a little, it is really cool. You want to soak in as much of it as you can because you know that you might not see it again. It snowed in many places in Texas. It snowed in College Station and in Dallas. I know I was caught by surprise, and I think that everyone else was too.
