WARNING: There are spoilers!

After watching To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, I was absolutely appalled at how amazing it was. The film quickly became one of my favorite movies in 2018. But recently, the sequel has finally come out and I was left with thousands of emotions and opinions.

Now that it was 2020, I couldn’t wait to see the show that was going to knock it out the park once again. That quickly changed after watching it. I disagreed with many of the situations and events that happened throughout the movie and the ending that upset me.

Starting with John Ambrose, literally my favorite character in the whole show. I was distraught when Laura Jean chose Peter at the end of the movie. Laura Jean and John Ambrose were MADE for each other. I felt that they would be a perfect couple. People also talked about how the endings were totally different between the book and the movie. Of course, when a person makes a movie off of a book things changed. But after reading it they took out a main part. In the novel, John Ambrose and LJ apparently had a stronger connection and had more chemistry. People also agreed that if you read the novel, you would want  LJ and John Ambrose to be together. At least I’m not the only one who sees the romance.

Another thing that bothered me in the movie is the hot tub scene. It ruined the whole movie when LJ asked Peter if he was waiting for her or his ex at the hot tub. And when he didn’t respond it destroyed me. It makes me not even like the first movie. This basically means if Laura Jean didn’t go to the hot tub they would have never been together. It also shows that Peter never had feelings for Laura Jean until then.

However, there was one couple in the movie that did bring me happiness which was Chris and Trevor. Their romance throughout the movie was so cute. I couldn’t stop smiling when they were always hanging around each other. You couldn’t deny their chemistry!

Now there are assumptions and rumors going around that there will be a third movie. If that is true, I hope that it could amaze me like the first one.
