Senior Feature – Lauren Lamar

Senior Feature - Lauren Lamar

As every senior at Northland tries to get their life together in their last few weeks they have of school, I caught up with one specific senior. Lauren Lamar is a senior at Northland and she has been at Northland since sixth grade which makes this her seventh  year. From what she’s said, she knows exactly what she is doing and what she wants.

Lauren has loved her Northland experience and has this to say, “My experience at Northland has been fun and I’ve been able to form a lot of close relationships since our school is so small, but now I’m ready to move on to college!”

A lot of seniors are not excited about the fact that graduation is just around the corner, but Lauren has a more positive perspective, “Yes I’m definitely looking forward to graduation because it symbolizes a new chapter of my life and it means that all of my hard work the past 4 years is finally paying off!”

Lauren has decided her career path and what she wants to study because of her background being on the Debate team. She has been on Northland’s Debate team four four years and it’s something she really loves and enjoyed doing. Lauren had this to say on what she wants to study and the career she would like to pursue,  “I’ll be studying Political Science and/or Business and Entertainment,” and “I hope to pursue a career as an elected official or campaign manager if I go to the Political Science route, but if I go the Business and Entertainment route then I think I would love to manage music festivals!”

Lauren Lamar is set on her life after high school. She cannot wait to graduate and start this new chapter in her life, and so can’t many other seniors here at Northland!
