Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

Trinity Polk, Writer

Operation Christmas Child is a way to spread love to children in need! All you do is pack a box full of simple gifts and send it off with a prayer. Here are the steps to make a box:

  1.  You should find a type of shoebox.
  2. You can decide if you want a girl or a boy.
  3. Then decide what age group do you want to give the special gift to. The age range is two to four, five to nine, or ten to fourteen.
  4. Once that’s done the fourth thing is to fill the shoebox with wonderful gifts and toys. You should not forget what you should put inside the box. You should not put toothpaste, candy, snacks, gum, chocolate, and etc. in the boxes. Some ideas are school supplies, clothing, accessories, toys, and craft items.
  5. You can donate nine dollars to help ship the boxes.

For another year, Northland is doing the Operation Christmas Child! The Operation Christmas Child boxes are due Wednesday, the 14th to your grade’s English teacher. A perk to bringing the OCC boxes is receiving spirit wear for each box (up to two boxes).
