As Homecoming starts to swing around the corner; Students have been extremely excited!  One of the main topics Students been talking about is the food. Is the food going to be delicious? Would people want more of it? Are any of the Students looking forward to it? I did my research and interviewed two people from the Homecoming Council, Mrs. Morgan, and Mrs. McGavock.

Where are we getting the food from and why?

Morgan said, “We are getting catering from Mel’s Country Cafe in Tomball.  This was recommended to us by Moffitt Oaks (the homecoming venue). And haven’t eaten there myself on several occasions I can say – Yummy!”

What is the menu for homecoming?

“The menu will be Chicken Fried Steak with Cream Gravy, Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken Breast, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Vegetable Medley, Buttered Corn, Tossed Green Salad, Rolls with Butter, Iced Tea, and Lemonade,” said McGavock.

Morgan then added, “We have not finalized the dessert choice as of yet…… there may be a late night surprise as well…..”

I wanted to see what the Students think about this too. So I interviewed Freshman, Elisabeth Alery and let’s see what she has to say!

Are you looking forward to the homecoming’s food and why?

“I’m not looking forward to the food, because I don’t know,” Alery said.

The homecoming food is coming from Mel’s, do you think its a great place for homecoming food?

Alery goes on to say, “I’ve never heard of Mel’s so I can’t really judge. But I think Chick Fil A would be a great catering place for a low price.”

Is the food one of the main things you care about for homecoming and why?

Then Alery said, “No, because I care more about how I look more than what I’m gonna eat at Homecoming.”
